Basic Line Technician Training
Program Description

This 440 hour program provides training in:

  • Pole climbing, maneuverability, and heights
  • Installation and removal of various types of pole hardware
  • NEW! Class "A" CDL (commercial driver's license) training and licensure
  • Basic pole safety and belt transitioning
  • Proper use of pole body belts, gaffs, climbers, and other safety equipment
  • Basic chain saw
  • Ladder use and safety
  • Basic rope knots, splices, proper hand lines techniques and gaff sharpening
  • Ground responsibilities and conducting job and safety briefings
  • Basic circuit identification and line patrolling
  • Proper equipment maintenance
  • Job search, interviewing and resume preparation
