Cosmetology
Program Description

Become a cosmetologist in only 15 months!  Our full-time, 1,800 hour, Pell grant eligible program combines classroom lecture, hands-on training with real clients, and a 150 hour professional internship in an area salon.
Curriculum

Cosmetology students are trained in:
  • Chemical relaxing
  • Draping
  • Facial make-up & facials
  • Hair coloring
  • Haircutting
  • Natural nail manicuring & pedicuring
  • Permanent waving
  • Temporary hair removal
  • Shampooing, rinsing and conditioning
  • Thermal hair styling and wet hair styling
  • Conditioning treatments
  • Salon management
Professional Certifications and Industry Credentials

This program prepares you for examination and licensure by The Ohio State Board of Cosmetology.

Successful students are eligible for ACT National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC).
Career Opportunities
Training through our Cosmetology Program prepares your for a career as a stylist, hair cutting specialist, salon owner or manager, color specialist, nail technician, skin care specialist, beauty advisor, cosmetology instructor, State Board Examiner or inspector, platform artist and product educator.
