Industrial Welding Technology
Program Description

Industrial Welding is a full-time, twelve month program that prepares you with the skills you need for today's job market.
Curriculum

This hands-on class includes training in:
  • Welding safety
  • Oxyfuel cutting
  • Base metal preparation
  • MIG, TIG and stick welding
  • OSHA
  • Structural and pipe welding
Professional Certifications and Industry Credentials

At the end of the program, students demonstrate their proficiency by testing for certification in:
  • D1.1 3/8" AWS Structural Steel Certifications
  • ASME Pressure Pipe Certification - includes certification in all positions
In addition, successful students will earn the following certifications:
  • IC3 GS3 Standard Certification
  • OSHA-10 Certification
  • WorkKeys
  • ACT National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
Career Opportunities

Welders are in demand in a number of fields including manufacturing, oil & gas, transportation and heavy equipment.  Welding occupations include fabricators, pipe welders, bridge welders, and structural welders.
