How to Enroll at Tri-County Adult Career Center

Enrolling at Tri-County Adult Career Center is as simple as stopping by or calling our Nelsonville office at 740.753.5464. Our team has helped thousands of students with registering for classes and we pride ourselves on taking the time necessary to answer all of your questions.

Below are the answers to some of the questions that we are most often asked.

When do classes start?

Unlike a high school, our programs do not follow a regular "school year." Because each program is unique in its content and length, programs begin and end at various times each year. The best way to find out when a program will begin is by calling our main office at 740.753.5464.

Do I need a G.E.D or high school diploma to register?

The answer is yes. Due to recent changes in standards, all students enrolled in a short term or full-time program at the Adult Career Center must have a GED or high school diploma.

We do offer a free, on-site ABLE lab to help you prepare for the GED.

Do my high school grades matter?

As a training center for adults, we are not concerned about your grades in high school. We do not have an "application" process where we review your transcripts. We do have a registration process that we will walk you through to ensure that your time and money here are well spent.

Are there other reasons why I might not be able to enroll?

A few of our programs have restrictions based either on age (under 18) or criminal background. Our health care programs may require specific immunizations or physical exams. Please call our main office for details about specific program requirements.
