Medical Assisting Technology
Completion
of this 12-month, 1200-hour training program is designed to prepare
students for entry level positions in health care. We will provide you
skills in the following areas: phlebotomy, pharmacology, laboratory
assisting, patient assessment, physician assistance, rehabilitation,
medical office management, medical records, coding, insurance and
billing, and transcribing. Two
internships in physician offices or/or clinics provide 210 hours of
hands-on clinical experience.
Upon successful completion, students
are eligible to sit for the national certification exam offered through
American Medical Technologists and be a Registered Medical Assistant
(RMA).
Fall start date. Monday through
Thursday (8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)
